Incense Stick KYARA Aloeswood
These incense sticks are made from Kyara (the highest quality of Vietnamese aloeswood). Kyara, nurtured by the eternal workings of nature, is a noble and subtle fragrance that is complemented by the warm depth of nutmeg and birch. The emotional sweetness of cistus and vetiver creates its exotic base.
Kyara is a very rare and expensive fragrant wood that is hardly produced these days. When Aquilaria trees decompose, its resin becomes fragrant over a long period of time. Kyara is the type of aloeswood that has a particularly good scent. The resinification process is caused by various natural factors, but the detailed process is still unknown. It is said that it takes nearly 100 years for the wood to become like this, and it is truly a mystery of nature. Kyara was once the finest fragrant wood, and was kept by powerful people such as emperors and shoguns to show off their status.
